On Saturday, March 26th, five Senior DeMolays received membership awards respective to the amount of time they have been members of our beloved order.
Receiving their 60 year pins were Harold E. Teufel and James C. Eubank. Brother Teufel was a member of Zion Chapter and Priory, and was initiated in 1947. Brother Eubank joined Redford Chapter in 1948.
James A. Barber received his 50 year pin – he is a Past Master Councilor of Lola Valley Chapter, during his tenure he was elected a Chapter Outstanding DeMolay and attained the degree of a Chevalier.
Finally, receiving their 25 year pins were Russell F. Spice and J. Andy Jackson. ‘Dad’ Spice became a member of Hazel Park chapter in 1964, he was a member of Lake Orion Chapter’s advisory council and is currently a member of Royal Oak Phoenix’s advisory council, where his grandchildren are members. ‘Dad’ Jackson joined Redford Chapter in 1965, and became a Representative DeMolay, attained the rank of Chevalier, he earned the Past Master Councilor’s Meritorious Service Award and was State Outstanding DeMolay in 1969. He is also a Past District Master Councilor, State Scribe for the 1968-1969 term, a member of the Legion of Honor, bearer of the Cross of Honor, a Past State Outstanding Advisor of the Year and formerly an advisor to three separate DeMolay chapters. He is currently a Deputy Member of DeMolay International.
