It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Brother Mark E. Smiley, Past State Master Councilor of Michigan DeMolay, 1990 and son of Dad Ken Smiley and Mom Marilee Smiley. Brother Mark passed away during the evening of February 20, 2013.

“It is the order of the Executive Officer; that all Michigan DeMolay Chapters drape the Altar for a period of thirty days in respect to the memory of Brother Mark E. Smiley PSMC.”

(The drape, to be of suitable black material, may cover all, or a portion of the Altar, but it shall not be placed on or over the Holy Bible.)

Mark was born in Lansing on September 20, 1968. Mark graduated from Lansing Eastern High School, Class of 1986. He was a member of Lansing Lodge No 33, Grand Blanc Chapter OES No. 507 a past Associate Bethel Guardian of Bethel No 50. Lansing-Okemos. He was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Lansing Township, which was his real love, to help others.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a sister, Sheila of West Branch; a brother, Duane and wife Ann; lovely nieces and nephew, Emma, Tim and Sarah of Jackson; and a grandmother, Mae Smiley;
